I Will..

We are in a season that can be difficult for some individuals. Holidays are here and the “winter blues” are before us. While some are happily celebrating, others are mourning the loss of a loved one no longer with them. Some may not have anyone to celebrate with, others may be surrounded by family and friends and still feel completely alone.

During these times, you may find yourself crying out to God, asking Him why and begging to be delivered from your pain and suffering. I have been there and have experienced these moments. The question to ask is what is my/your response when in a dark valley?

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and God. Psalm 42:5

David is crying out to the Lord. He is asking the very questions I have asked God myself, but what is David’s response in his pain?

I will..

“I will put my hope in God. I will praise Him.”

In our suffering, let us be like David. Say I will. Despite the dark valley you may find yourself in, make it a must to seek out God and praise him during and through the pain.

Father God, You are a good, good Father. You are my peace, deliverer, and comfort. I will seek You in the peaks and valleys. Thank you Father for your unfailing love. Amen.

Living by grace,

Misty
